Job Description
Work with wood to build and repair structures and other items
Calculate quotes, meet with clients and design plans for remodeling projects
Undertake a range of jobs including installing doors and windows, building furniture, designing and fitting kitchens
Work in domestic and commercial settings, on construction sites and in workshop
Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimentions and materials required
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools
Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue
Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
Move necessary materials around jobsite as asigned
Clean up worksite debris
Maintain records, document actions and present written progress reports
