Action Against Hungeris an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan forWASH Team LeaderWork place:Irbid / JordanOverview:Coordinate and manage in the capacity building, community engagement and awareness raising process.Responsibilities:1) Train and mobilize members of the beneficiary communities.-Identify targeted partner CBOs within the communities.-Apply the defined methodologies in the hygiene promotion and water conservation awareness-raising sessions.-Participate in elaborating planning of awareness-raising activities.-Developing and Evaluate the necessary material needed for a session/activity.-Identify the most appropriate message regarding the target population according to the baseline results.-Monitor the Conducting training sessions for the community workers and/or targeted populations ;-Participate in evaluation missions.-Developing means of verification and monitoring tools-Write a summary of the activity reports.-Propose possible improvements.-Provide support to the other staff members if needed based on the project manager instructions; supervise the progress of the technical activities and ensure they are implemented as per the specifications, within quality standards.2) To mobilize the community in the intervention area towards hygiene promotion and water conservation best practices.-Coordinate community based activities (info sessions, awareness sessions and campaigns or any other community related activities, community representative meetings or any other community related meetings) with CBOs.-To be able to coordinate with the local communities and different stakeholders.-Providing updates on ACF projects and collecting feedback from Beneficiaries to be shared with Project Manager.-To manage and oversee all community mobilization activities through CBOs and CMARs as well.-Support the project?s activities through community mobilization to ensure community acceptance and participation.-Carry out data collection management.-Closely monitor hygiene and water conservation practices and report on the status.-Support other ACF teams as needed in coordinating any other hygiene promotion and water conservation activities.-Upon line manager request, participate in meetings and events of WASH Program.-Represent Action Against Hunger in coordination meetings when the WASH PMare not available or upon their request.-Support other Action Against Hunger teams when needed; service, finance, HR, Admin and Logistics, MEAL departments and any other work related departments or stakeholders.-Coordinate with DOH and DOE, to make sure all the rehabilitation works implemented according to their instruction and approval.-Involve the relevant authorities during the design stage to make sure the designed BOQ activities meet their prioritized needs3) Lead , Monitor, evaluate and manage the team and provide sufficient technical resources to the team-Submit weekly reports for all implemented activities, contribute to the monthly activities report, and verbal reports whenever necessary.-Managing filing and proper recording of data.-Ensure photos documentation of activities, before-during and after.-Provide direction, assigns tasks and gives instructions to staff, specifies their individual work plans and evaluates individual team members? performance.-Supervise the work implementation with the contractor and provide the instructions and feedback to the contractor at the daily basis.-Ensure application of the WASH management methodologies in and through the team.-Support the assigned staff in their professional development, identifies training needs, supports staff to achieve the objectives defined in their learning development plans and provide them with the necessary trainings and technical support.-Develop with the assigned team, Monthly activity plans.-Carry out appraisals and evaluation for team.-Assist in the implementation of training sessions in the area of competence.-Manage the community Mobilizers and hygiene promoter.-Provide accurate work plan for the CMAR.-Follow up with the team at a daily basis and make sure the implementation progress is in line with the plans and targets.-Ensure the work quality with the team through field visits and beneficiary feedbacks4) Ensure adherence to Action against Hunger gender requirements.-Commit and comply with the organization gender, age and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication)-Support on the implementation and the promotion of gender, age and diversity principles through daily activities and or through the management of their teams (Managing performance & development)
