Job Description
Ensure the proper functioning of the medical activities under his/her responsibility, defining and implementing MSF policies, protocols and procedures, and guaranteeing the quality of healthcare in order to improve health conditions of the target population.
Coordinate, assess and supervise the proper functioning of the medical activities according to MSF protocols and procedures and through the correct compilation and analysis of medical data regarding patients health conditions.
Checks IPCs measures and universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing biohazard risks and improving infection control; ensures that the policy of accidental blood exposure is followed.
Supervise medical team in application of medical knowledge and skills for diagnosis and treatment of NCD consultations and ensure rational prescribing respecting MSF guidelines, as well as following the same standards, in order to guarantee the quality of the care and service in both NCD clinics.
Know, promote, implement security rules and other MSF protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensure supervise his/her team in following the same standards.
Supervise the appropriate referral of patients for routine or emergency care to other health facilities / departments in cooperation with PC.
Support and complement health education component of the NCD project.
Responsible for ensuring and supporting the systematic follow-up of non-attending patients (default tracing) as well as exiting patients in collaboration with data team.
Responsible for reviewing and developing the overall rational use and prescription of drugs, lab tests, and medical supplies and equipment, supervising their use in the medical facility.
Technically responsible for the overall management and supervision of the home visit program.
Supervise the medical care that is delivered through the home visit team.
Manage the team under his/her direct responsibility according to MSF HR policies and procedures, supervising their performance, organizing and scheduling rotations. Work in collaboration with MSF doctors, nurses, pharmacists, registrars and patient educators.
Conduct regular meetings with different departments of the clinics to feedback on results and cases and performance.
Supervises data supervisor and supports data team to collaborate closely with other departments.
Provides analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity, and support submission of a medical report to the Medical Coordinator.
Requirements:
Medical doctor degree. Desirable specialization or training in Tropical Medicine or related studies.
Essential 2 years managerial experience related to the diploma/degree and preferable experience in MSF or other International Medical Organization.
Essential English language skills written and verbal.
Contract Duration: Fixed Term - 6 Month Contract only.
Salary: According to MSF internal salary and function grid.
