Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for?Communication and Outreach Officer?Work place: ?Jordan - Irbid Governorate?Monthly Basic?Salary Range: ?? 1104 JOD?Specific Objectives:-????????? Support and maintain internal and external communications with project collaborators (schools, cooperatives), implementing agencies (Action against Hunger and partners), service providers (TV, video developer, etc.).?-????????? Support in the design of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials for the Food Security and Livelihood department, or other departments according to the needs.-????????? In charge of all awareness campaigns with all its components and assist to execute the communication strategy of the department?Main Objectives????????Mission 1: Define the Communication and Outreach (C&O) plan for the FSL department-Prepare the Communication and Outreach plan for each project in line with project proposals, Action Against Hunger and donors? guidelines under the supervision of the Programme Manager-Identify target audiences and create adequate strategies to effectively engage them in the project activities-Design all tools and materials required for the implementation and follow-up of the Communication and Outreach plan (such as communication calendar, etc.)-Support in the design of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, liaising with the suppliers or other external third party for the designing phase for the FSL department (and other department upon request).-Develop and update Terms of Reference documents for the activities for example for TV and Radio broadcasting)-Assist to ensure that all produced communication materials in all forms are aligned with ACF and donor?s guidelines and ensure the correct visibility of ACF-Liaise internally with the Senior Communication Officer or any other persons required for the validation and implementation of the C&O Plan and related materials.??Mission 2: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the organization of awareness raising activities and events-Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders that will help advance our work-Collaborate with the donors and suppliers for the design of video, radio messages, leaflets, posters, and any other items used for the delivery of awareness raising messages-Liaise with schools and other local stakeholders for the organization of awareness raising campaigns, ensuring that the content and methodology is adequate to the target audiences.-Build the capacity of the partners on awareness raising best practices using on-field training, and ensure the accuracy and quality of the delivered messages-Support and follow up on all the activities and the tasks delivered by the project partners to ensure quality-Coordinate with media, when needed, in covering and publishing project events and activities.-Coordinate with the Logistics department and provide support in validation of printed communication materials-Ensure regular reporting to the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager?Mission 3: Prepare and deliver awareness raising campaigns, events, workshops, information dissemination for targeted groups-Prepare and implement awareness raising campaign planned in the project activities, keeping accurate records of the number of sessions/events done, attendees and other information as required by donors and internal guidelines-Ensure the delivery of the requested needs and materials for the events-Ensure the dissemination of project outreach materials as defined in the Communication Calendar (I.E.C materials, presentations, leaflets, Rollups, posters, and waste vouchers. Etc.)-Prepare, organize and deliver project events including but not limited to workshops, awareness campaigns events, schools events, participatory open days, kick-offs? and the closing ceremony-Support Action Against Hunger?s local partners (cooperatives) in the design of marketing materials and the up-cycling concept-Provide training regarding the on-line marketing for local partners regarding the up-cycling products.-Document project activities using photos and emails?Mission 4: Ensure adherence to Action against Hunger gender requirements-Act as the department focal point and participate in all meetings related to gender topic.-Commit and comply with the organization gender, age and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication)-Support on the implementation and the promotion of gender, age and diversity principles through daily activities and or through the management of their teams (Managing performance & development)?
