Set to exceed all guest expectations, the resort and spa is an oasis for nature-loving friends, families and couples hoping to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life.About the Job:An opportunity has arisen for an Executive Housekeeper role to join Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa Family.The main purpose of this position to provide strategic leadership and direct operations to ensure the housekeeping department achieves its goals and effectively contributes to the guest experience whilst maintaining Jumeirah Brand standards.Duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Motivate, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline all housekeeping and laundry employees.
• Implement control on department labour costs.Minimize costs while ensure adequate staffing is available to provide five-star service.
• Perform daily inspection of all public areas, guestrooms, exterior of building and back house areas including Laundry, to ensure that the highest standards are meet.
• Monitor progress, ensure completion of deep cleaning program and assign tasks to housekeeping & laundry Colleagues.
• Ensure all tasks in the housekeeping / laundry operation are complete to ensure a successful opening according to Jumeirah Brand Standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance with standards and procedures manual and the LQA.
• Promote and recognize opportunities to provide guest service beyond all expectation.
• Monitor correct handling of all guest requests.
• Ensure proper inventories of linen, uniforms and all operating equipment in housekeeping / laundry is conducted in line with audit standards in order to effectively manage cost.
• Ensure all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations are strictly enforced in line with Jumeirah HS&E standards to ensure guests and colleagues safety.
• Ensure proper controls of master keys are in place in order to guarantee guests safety.
• Effectively oversee the control of cleaning supplies and guest supplies (receiving, recording, handling and storage) to minimize losses and maximize use of resources.
• Participate in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan to ensure housekeeping & laundry operation are adequately represented.
• Recommend modernization of cleaning methods and equipment to ensure quality of cleanliness and increase in performance, to meet guest expectations.
• Provide creative set-up of guest amenities/supplies, flower arrangement to develop and enhance the image and reputation of the hotel.
• Monitor and analyze room products of competitive hotels (local and international) to benchmark and keep up to date with the latest trends to maintain competitive advantage.

About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Degree in Hospitality Management or similar field preferred.
• A Certificate in HS&E
• A minimum of 5 years work experience for a deluxe hotel.
• A minimum of 3 years management experience in a high-volume housekeeping role.
• A Middle East experience.
