Set to exceed all guest expectations, the resort and spa is an oasis for nature-loving friends, families and couples hoping to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life.About the Job:An opportunity has arisen for an Events Manager role to join Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa Family.The main purpose of this position to assist in planning, organizing and directing the overall running of the C&I events and groups as well as maintaining established quality standards in a manner consistent with hotel standards and customer needs.Duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Being able to send a comprehensive proposal and contract when required.
• Coordinating with other departments the needs of a group which will directly affect that department (i.e., amenities, arrival/departure time, deliveries, special meal requirements)
• Maintaining the policies set forth in the group sales contract (i.e. deposits, cut off dates, attrition, rooming lists, billing instructions)
• Coordinating the sales efforts between events department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
• Negotiating with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential white satisfying client needs.
• Developing creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients.
• Conducting tours of the property with meeting planner and potential clients.

About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in C&I or Sales within a hotel/conference center environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
• Highly motivated and passionate about customer service
• Knowledge in facilitating Indian Weddings
