This role reports directly into the Group Chairman and we politely ask you to ONLY apply if you meet the criteria (candidates who don?t will not be considered). Candidates must be either Arabic speakers or western educated. The CFO will be primarily response for financial and MIS reporting and also provide both operational and programmatic support to the Group. In addition to supervising the finance function and acting as the chief financial spokesperson for the Group. The CFO will engage with C-level employees on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. You will create shareholder value by providing the vision, leadership, strategy, general management, creative and financial skills necessary to build and grow the Group. The ideal candidate will be an experienced CFO but with a strong ?business entrepreneurial head on their shoulders?. Accommodation is included in the salary shown however you will receive an educational allowance for each child of AED 12,000 per year along with family status on tickets and insurance. Description:As the CFO, you will provide the role of strategic business partner to the Group companies and will head the finance leadership teamAssess and evaluate financial performance of the Company with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecastsProvide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plans of the CompanyIdentify, evaluate, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate Group companies finance function and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiencyManage the overall cost base of the group, with particular focus on identifying opportunities for intra-group synergies across different functions that can result in meaningful improvement to the bottom line of the groupCommunicate, engage and interact with board of directors and C-level employeesCreate and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the Company?s plan for growth and expansionSelect and engage consultants, auditors and investors in coordination with relevant board and management committees.Recruit, interview and hire finance, accounting and payroll staff (if required)Serve as a key member of the Company?s leadership team and Board of DirectorsParticipate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models. Develop a template for objective evaluation of each initiative along economic and strategic dimensions and facilitate its consistent application across all group companies.Interact with and bring the finance function into line with Board of Directors? plans, initiatives and recommendationsImplement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team of the Company (like Risk Management Policies)Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss forecast vs. budget and weekly cash flow.Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendationsIdentify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, investments and acquisitionsDevelop and maintain monthly and annual operating budgetManage financial planning and analysis. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecastingParticipate in conference calls with lenders, vendors and the Company?s leadership teamSupervise the accounting function to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise the Company?s financial staff (if any)Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial proceduresEnsure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for funders, investors and the Company?s Board of DirectorsOversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statementsOversee the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns (if required)Work with relevant persons to ensure appropriate legal complianceOversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficienciesOversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsReview all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocationEnhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systemsHire, develop and manage accounting directors, managers and staff (if required)Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external auditsCoordinate and strategize methods used to attain team goalsManage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availabilityOversee cash, investments and asset management areasExplore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risksMaintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with investors and business partnersUtilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the Company?s plans and operating budgetsEngage board of directors to develop short term and long-term plans, projections and budgetsRepresent the Company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, auditors and officialsRemain current on audit best practices as well as all laws regarding Company?s operationsWork with the Finance Heads of the individual group companies to (a) harmonize key financial policies and procedures; (b) harmonize internal MIS and financial reporting to the Board; (c) harmonize use of financial metrics and report cards; (d) harmonize project evaluation templates; (e) cross-pollinate best practices; (f) cross-leverage lender and vendor relationshipsGuide, mentor and develop the finance departments of Group companiesIntervene with a view to resolving intricate and complex intra group financial issues, disputes and mattersOversee cash management and approve large payables, sign cheques and authorize large transfersSupervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection processOversee and implement the financial control framework, policies and procedures and ensure the Company?s Finance Department is in full complianceImplement budget and expense control measures to improve profitability and cost efficienciesReinforce and drive a culture of transparency within the CompanySkillsCriteria:Master/bachelor?s degree in accounting or FinanceAccounting Professional certification required such as CPA/ACA/CFA6 years minimum experience as a CFO in a Group of Companies10 years total accounting or finance experienceOutstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRSOutstanding communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence ? ability to motivate staffExcellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skillsSignificant experience operating within a Group Company settingExperience of working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issuesMBA from a recognized business school a definite advantageCandidates must either be Arabic speakers or western educatedMust currently reside in the UAEPlease only apply if you meet the criteria
