Job Description

The Machines Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery used in the oil extraction, filtration, and bottling processes. The role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime to maintain consistent product quality and production output.?Key Responsibilities1. Machine Operation & Maintenance? Operate oil extraction (cold press), filtration, and filling machines during production cycles.? Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical and electrical systems.? Lubricate, adjust, and replace machine parts as needed to ensure smooth operation.? Ensure all equipment complies with safety and hygiene standards.2. Troubleshooting & Repairs? Diagnose malfunctions or breakdowns in machinery and perform immediate repairs.? Identify potential technical problems and take corrective actions to prevent production stoppages.? Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs or spare part replacements when required.3. Production Support? Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery before production runs.? Monitor machine performance parameters and adjust settings to achieve optimal oil yield and quality.? Ensure minimal waste and maximum equipment efficiency during operation.4. Documentation & Reporting? Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment service records.? Report recurring faults, maintenance schedules, and spare part requirements to the Factory Manager.? Assist in maintaining compliance documentation for health, safety, and food production audits.5. Safety & Compliance? Follow all workplace safety rules and ensure that all machines operate within safety standards.? Participate in safety drills and report any unsafe practices or hazards immediately.? Support the implementation of HACCP and ISO procedures within the production line.Skills? Strong technical and problem-solving skills.? Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.? Attention to detail and precision in machine handling.? Good communication and teamwork skills.? Time management and ability to work under pressure during peak production.
