- Supervision for all daily activities, providing guidance, leadership and support to ensure all works are conducted safety and to the required quality, and technical standard.- Check attendance of the personnel and prepare/log daily timesheets.- Assign tasks and targets to the team, ensuring the team works to the require project guidelines.- Manage the personnel load and ensure all critical tasks are being addressed progressed according to delivery requirements.- Monitor man hours spent on projects and assist the Production Manager in identifying possible areas of improvement for future/similar projects.- Check incoming stock material in conjunction with the quality team and store.- Check incoming project material in conjunction with the quality team and store, to ensure that it is correct.- Manage store and goods used from stock, project material, general workshop tools, and equipment.- Min/Max of stock checking for consumables (welding electrodes, grinding discs, etc.) to ensure the workshop and project are prepared and always have sufficient stock for upcoming projects.- Participate in Project Kick Off Meetings to assist in determining project requirements.- Undertake offshore/onshore projects when needed.- Ensures that production and productivity are maintained in accordance with works schedule.- Attend production meetings and provide updated of the workshop projects.- Responsible for HSE and the general housekeeping in the workshop and yard.- Working with QC to determine welder qualifications and be involved in PQR?s and WPS?s to ensure a smooth operation and optimum results.- Review equipment and opportunities for improvement in the workshop to ensure best possible output is achieved from production.
