Job Description

BWP have been retained by a leading international transportation consultant for the position of Rail Vice President. The selected individual will be responsible for spearheading the companys operations by providing strategic and operational direction across business units and projects.Responsibilities:

  • Advise on the organisations Vision, Mission and Strategic Direction in consultation with the Board of Directors
  • Responsible in terms of financial performance, on-time delivery of major projects, development of commercial contracts, revenue generation and management of all business activities
  • Direct and lead the design, construction, commissioning and integration of the infrastructure aspects across rail projects
  • Across projects provide strategic direction to the design, specification and installation of systems and rolling stock
  • Across projects provide strategic direction to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and comply fully with the organisations requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and business partners by overseeing and coordinating mutually beneficial relationships built on understanding of internal policies and strategic priorities
  • Take care of health, safety and environmental impact both personally, and for others who may be affected in the workplace. Cooperate with company and co-works to help everyone meet their legal and company requirement
  • Help support the organisation in extraordinary events such as claims by contractors, dispute reviews and participation in arbitration
Requirements:
  • Must have previously overseen the delivery of rail projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Extensive civil / infrastructure / construction experience within the rail sector
  • Experience in rail systems would be beneficial
  • Previous executive level experience
  • Must have experience working for both the contractor and consultancy
  • Minimum of 15 years experience within the rail sector
  • Degree educated
  • Rail operations experience would be beneficial?
  • P&L experience would be beneficial?
