Role: Automation Framework TesterDesirable Experience: 4 to 12 years.Roles & Responsibilities:Participate in the Test planning stage and analyse the requirement and the systems impacted.Develop system functional knowledge and works as an individual contributor by owning the test cases, functional modules and its associated defects and track it to its closure.Work with the development team and the fellow testers as a part of the squad, plan and identify the automation needs.Provide the estimate for the test automation for a release which should include any changes to the existing automation framework, or simply automating the test data needs and the test cases or create the new module for the automation framework.Ensure the automation code is written following the automation testing standards, reviewed through the code review tool and do the corrective actions (if any).Create/modify the stub to test the integrated code to simulate the E2E behaviour.Merge the test automation code on the daily basis and resolve any code dependency conflicts.Provide the compatibility test coverage across the web and mobile devices.Ensure that the test automation documentations are been updated regularly and creates enough knowledge repository.Contributes in reducing the recurring manual regression effort by minimum 40% on release to release basis.Hand over the automated suite to the manual testers and executing the test automation suite.Execute the test cases manually based on the project demand.Knowledge/Experience (Must/Should):Must have a good knowledge of Testing fundamentals and its application to various type of systems (2-Tier/3-Tier) i.e. mobile, POS, Web.Must have good understanding on the Automation testing and its tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, RestAssured, Appium, etc.Must have at least 3+ years of experience in developing the automation framework from the scratch (and not just the maintenance).Must have a good experience in conducting the POCs for to see the feasibility for the automation of a particular system.Must have Good knowledge on any of the OOPS programme language such as Java, Python, RoR, etc.Should have the experience working in the backend automation such as API, DB to DB calls, middleware test automation.Strong expertise in integrating and automating the tests in the CI pipeline such as GitHub, Jenkins.Must be able to create stubs to test the undeveloped code or to simulate the E2E behaviour.Knowledge/Experience (Good to Have, not mandatory):Retail and Warehouse management experience would be advantageous.Understanding of batch job testing across the environments.Working experience in automating the test cases for the System Integration test phase.
