Job PurposeThe Port Technical Manager is accountable for daily technical operations includingmanufacturing and support ensuring shipyard production goals are met in line with the portsstrategic objectives and to promote economic growth. In conjunction with the Port Manager, thepost holder designs, manages and executes technical policy and manages the performance ofthe departmental employees. The Technical Manager has full cost and revenue responsibilityand develops and maintains the departmental budget striving to deliver best value throughefficient management of the departmental resources or external contractors as well asmanaging the quality of workmanship through implementation of best practice initiatives.
