Job Description

Job Summary Provide advice to the Tax Compliance and Enforcement Director on compliance and risk management strategies. Put in place field training protocol and train auditors on inspections and audit techniques.Duties & Responsibilities Operational Roles

  • Provide input and advice to the Tax Compliance Affairs Head on the development of compliance and risk management strategies.
  • Provide tax technical expertise and advice across all Tax Affairs functions.
  • Advise on risk criteria to be measured and reported on an on-going basis.
  • Support on the development of specific VAT and Excise Tax risk management.
  • Support on the definition of compliance and inspection practices.
  • Assist and fine tune audit case selection strategies.
  • Provide input to the development of effective compliance and enforcement programmes.
  • Train Senior Auditors, Auditors and Analysts on appropriate VAT and audit techniques.
  • Develop a standardised office and field training protocol, and train field auditors on those protocols.
  • Assist with initial inspections/audits in order to transfer skills on-the-job.
  • Keep the team up to date with the VAT and Excise Tax legislation and changes.
  • Support of the Tax Compliance and Enforcement Director in terms of tax compliance and enforcement issues.
  • Develop training material to the public aiming at increasing the level of tax literacy among various Taxable Persons? segments.?
