Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex.About the position:Contribute to develop the Sub Agency function into top class performance and will be an efficient support in managing the Sub Agency Operations; driving service quality, effectiveness and managing resources and processes related to the agency services provided by Wilhelmsen Port Services within designated ports. This position reports to the Ships Agency Territory Manager ? UAE, Oman, Qatar & Sub Agency Africa & Middle East.What your main responsibilities will be:* Overall responsible for the management of the sub agents within the specific territory * Ensure that Sub Agency performance and service quality is according to Sub Agency Standard Operating Procedures (Sub Agent SOP). * Pro-actively identify new means of achieving cost savings, including vendor discounts on behalf of the principal. * Selecting, appointing, and evaluating Sub Agents, vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with WSS Safety, Operational and procurement governance requirements. * Actively identify new business and sales opportunities in the territory/country and work with Ships Agency sales to promote local ports towards customers. * Ensure profitable port operations by increasing revenue, whilst driving efficiencies to control costs. * Ensure correct amount of pre-funding is received, or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the port call, in line with the Chart of Authority. Same to be ensured when additional funding required prior vessel?s sailing. * Ensure procedures relevant to Disbursement Accounts production are implemented and optimized. * Ensure efficient and competent resources within Sub Agency operations team * Overall Ships Agency QHSSE compliance within assigned Territory and use of Take 5 as appropriate * Responsible for supporting and ultimately driving the collection of spot port call receivables * After departure analyze the port call and communicate to the customer the provided added valueAccountabilitiesThis position will be measured against: * Port Contribution country/territory * EBIT country/territory * EBIT margin Country/territory * AR > credit time country/territory * Service Quality Level (Customer satisfaction/ IP response effectiveness/Blue Pennant) * Adherence to Sub Agency SOPs * Compliance with the ISO 9001 and ISO45001 standards, Take 5Your qualifications:* Bachelor degree within Maritime or Business management field, or alternatively atleast 7+ years of work experience compensating for formal education. * Min. 2+ year experience as an operations manager/ supervisory / senior operations level within Ships Agency Operations within Middle East , Indian Subcontinent & Africa * Familiar with Local Port Authority regulations, procedures, and governing tariffs. * Ability to multitask and organize under pressure without compromising safety of personnel and vessel * Good communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written) * Strong mentoring and customer relationship skills * Self-motivated and result orientated. * Good cost awareness and control * Computer literateAdditional preferences* Immediate experience of 2+ years of p roven port agency services experience working within a centralized port operations or HUB function in a senior role overseeing multiple service vendors /agents * Diploma in Port Operations (ICS) or p ast sailing experience preferred * Multilingual ? additional language within MiddleEast & Subcontinent. * HSSE q uality audit c ertification * Strong MS Office & Finance skillsApplyingYou can apply online today through our career portal by creating a ?Candidate Home? account.
