Job Description

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN)?is?seeking a Studio Assistant for our Broadcast Operations team at our?Dubai office in UAE.?MBN?is?a non-profit grantee of the federal government that directly communicates with the people of the Middle East and North Africa through television, radio, and digital?media.??MBNs mission?is?to provide objective, accurate, and relevant news and information to the people of the Middle East about the region, the world, and the United States?in support of U.S. public?diplomacy.The Studio Assistant is responsible for providing technical operations support for fast paced news broadcast network.The primary duties and responsibilities of the?Studio Assistant include?, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and executing all functions of the Control Room Teleprompter position, the Control Room Playback position, and the Control Room Graphics position. This includes a technical understanding of the teleprompter, playback and graphics systems, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced control room environment with anchors, directors, producers for both live news and taped programming.
  • Providing support to other positions in the control room and studio, as needed.
  • Providing support to a 24x7 facility, may require the ability to work various shifts, weekends, including holidays.
