Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Statutory Reporting and Tax Specialist to provide additional support to the Regional Reporting and Tax Manager by delivering a wide range of tax and reporting related support servicesYour Role You will be responsible for delivering a full range of tax and reporting related support services including compliance with IFRS and Kuehne+Nagel reporting requirements/guidelines, analysing processes and providing alternative automation solutions, assisting the local finance managers in the region for maintaining tax and statutory books in ERP system, assisting in monthly reporting to Corporate and assisting in tax audits. Your Responsibilities

  • Perform VAT reconciliation - Tax records vs books and implement VAT/WHT/TDS automations.
  • Monitor booking of VAT and WHT as per KN reporting guidelines. Monitor VAT receivables and ensuring timely allocations to reduce Bad debt provisions.
  • Accurate reporting of Indirect Tax receivables in monthly reporting package.
  • Monitor monthly Corporate Tax accrual booking.
  • Assist local finance manager with preparing TP disclosures and maintaining Tax and Statutory books.
  • Monthly verification of IFRS 16 register. Act as a focal point for adjustments.
  • Monthly checking and timely reporting to local finance manager and FSL team for rectification.
  • Regular follow up with local finance managers to ensure audit is completed in time.
  • Maintaining monthly reports on various topics related to Reporting, Audit and Taxation.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a similar discipline, MBA and ?Certified Public Accountant certification? are preferred to have.
  • Proven experience in analysing Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Accounting and Direct/Indirect Taxation.
  • Commercial Understanding of the Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics Industry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic is nice to have.
  • High level of analytical skills and ability to implement efficient processes
  • Positive Attitude and good listening skills coupled with the ability of taking initiative when needed.
