• Design, build, test, and deploy new libraries, frameworks, and entire systems for our data platform while adhering to the highest testing and code quality standards.
• Guide the team in improving scalability, stability, accuracy, and efficiency of our data systems.
• Work with other engineers to identify and build tools to automate many data management/analysis tasks.
• Support other teams by providing guidance on data modeling, data usage, processing, and how they can best leverage the platform.
• Build scalable data pipelines to ingest data from a variety of data sources, identify critical data elements and define data quality rules.
• Provide insights on areas of improvement including Data Governance, best practices, and large-scale processing.
• Introduce best practices regarding data governance and data security.
• Provide technical guidance to the team.
• Fosters collaboration, knowledge sharing, and data literacy between teams in the organization.
• Collaborate, coach, and mentor colleagues in an energetic, growing team.
• Bring continuous improvement in all aspects of work - technology, process, team, self.

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with strong skills in at least one programming
• language (preferably Java or Python).
• Deep understanding of various data architectures (especially in reference to major cloud platforms)
• Deeply understands and strives for the improvement of data governance. A track record of implementing effective processes/practices related to data availability, usability, quality, and security
• Strong experience and understanding of DevOps for Data Platforms, e.g., Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, various container technologies (Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS ECS & EKS, GCP GKE, etc.)
• Expert level knowledge and demonstrated experience in Distributed Systems architecture & design, especially in relation to large scale distributed data processing pipelines and real-time data processing
• Ability to solve technical problems of the highest scope and complexity. Can ship large features and foundational improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members
• Deep understanding of data warehousing
• You have product analytics and good stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Airflow is a plus.
