Sr. Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and tests all aspects of designs according to specification. He or She provides expert technical judgement and analysis to a wide variety of topics including but not limited to manufacturing, assembly, testing, processes, and field applications. Candidates for this role must be self-driven with strong collaboration and communication skills to interface with a fast-paced global organization.Qualifications:Education:Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 8 years of related experienceRequired Skills:Generate design enhancements that meet customer specific requirementsLead projects focused operational and manufacturing efficienciesPerform engineering calculations related to specific tool designs and applicationsCreate and execute tool specific testing plansWork directly with technicians in a shop environment to ensure competencies and best practices are being performedPerform root cause analysis of any product failure with technical recommendations to severity and/or frequencyAssist supervisor in the compilations of action plans and new projectsCreate and maintain engineering research and design documentation along with accurate and complete documentation of all related work-tasksCommunicate effectively across a global organizationProficient in time managementProficient in EnglishProficient in CAD and ERP softwareProficient in Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPreferred Skills:Experienced in downhole oil and gas tool design, specifically Thru Tubing toolsExperienced in Coiled Tubing or Thru Tubing related operationsExperienced in frequently used materials for downhole tool oil and gas designsKnowledge of competitive products and industry trends related to Thru Tubing applicationsExperience with relevant Organizations and products that sell and operate globally in the Oil and Gas marketProficient in SolidWorks, Team Center, JDEStrong working knowledge in CNC machining of high strength materials
