Sr Appl/Sys Sales Engineer, shanghai, IGS,SPSIntelligrated has an immediate opening based in our Shanghai, China office for the role of Operations & Solutions Consultant. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with 3 years managing the day-to-day operations within a retail distribution center, e-fulfillment center, and wholesale or manufacturing distribution center.The primary responsibility of this position is to use their distribution / fulfillment business knowledge to consult with our client?s, study their warehouse operations, analyze the data, identify operational pain points and material flow bottlenecks, recommend process improvements, and work with our engineering team to develop unique and innovative material handlingKey ResponsibilitiesThis professional and high performing individual will be working on multiple projects at a time and applying their advanced skills and critical thinking to identify our client?s distribution/fulfillment challenges and develop unique and intelligent material handling solutions that resolve them. Leading the projects from analysis, through design, start-up, and post-implementation operations.? Analyzes clients business requirements and develops material handling solutions that allow them to excel in the market place.? Understands the specific data that is needed, how to collect the data, and how to analyze it in a manner that accurately represents operational requirements for the development of solutions.? Accurately, clearly and concisely communicates operational and solution design requirements to internal teams and the client.? Uses data and operational requirements to develop and evaluate alternate concepts ranging from basic to highly automated and recommend a solution based on Business Case models and Return on Investment (ROI) calculations.? Develops a professional relationship that is valued and respected by the client.? Conducts Warehouse Operational Assessments studying operations and developing short, medium, and long term recommendations for improvements in throughput and efficiencies.? Remains current with future warehousing and supply chain strategies and material handling technologies.? Guides other Intelligrated teams in the operational and solutions information necessary for them to develop Simulation Models for ?proof of concept?.? Provides project status and updates to various supportive teams in China? Assists with the development of sales strategies for each project.? Supports sales team in pre-sales activities and presentations.? Self-motivated and independent.
