Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit anative DHA, DOH or MOH licensed, Arabic speaking, western trained, Pediatric Speech and Language Therapistfor their client in Dubai which is a leading Pediatric Developmental Center providing differential diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating outpatients with central or peripheral disorders of speech, language, voice, and/or swallowing.The Speech and Language Therapist would be required to define patient’s degree and type of speech, language, voice and swallowing impairment by selecting and administering the most appropriate test instruments, preparing written diagnostic reports.Counsel patients and their families by informing them about available treatment options. Minimize delays in diagnosis and/or therapeutic intervention by coordinating and prioritizing the patient caseload. Improve the function of patients with speech, language, voice and/or swallowing impairments by planning treatment.Modify therapy program by periodically re-evaluating therapy goals. Minimize communicative impairment by providing counseling to the parents of the preschool, pre-lingual child who is at risk for speech or language stimulation and other home-based methods. Educate staff and patients by designing and delivering training and in-service programs for speech pathology interns. Improve quality results by studying, evaluating and re-designing processes and implementing changes. Maintain legal and accreditation compliance by developing policy concerning local regulations and anticipating emerging issues. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and professional networks, participating in professional organizations. Enhance speech pathology and clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Comply with local legal and certification requirements by studying existing and new legislation.Document patient care services by charting department records. Facilitate movement toward a healthcare partnership between providers, the patients and their families. Educate patient/family regarding therapeutic exercises, activities and equipment.Salary : Aed 25,000 to 30,000 per month plus incentives.
