The purpose of this position is to maintain parts inventory, assist customers/distributors and maintain records. Responsible for maintaining parts stock, issuing parts and supplies and/or purchasing assigned or designated parts and services from approved vendors. This position also corresponds with customers via phone and email who are purchasing spare parts.Main Duties and Responsibilities:1) Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, customer accounts (installations in the market), including new installation up to six months out from delivery2) Prepares and submits quotes to customers3) Prepares purchase orders to reorder needed parts4) Prepares purchase orders for emergency orders5) Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update automated inventory records6) Conducts periodic physical inventory; maintains stock levels7) Answers correspondence from internal and external customers in a professional manner8) Pulls parts and completes paperwork necessary for the shipping department to quickly get needed parts to internal and external customers9) Ensures that the service department, field service technicians, are adequately supplied with all parts and materials as always needed10) Ensures all parts service orders are accurate, complete and submitted in a timely manner11) Consistently maintains a high level of professionalism when working with internal and external customers12) Regularly improve and update product knowledge by participating in educational and product training opportunities15) Responsible for the parts & components, storage layout, proper and safe storage, accurate counting of stock on hand, and warehouse security16) Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover17) Ensures that all returned or warranty parts are properly tagged and processed so that the company recovers full credit from the OEM factory and I or parts component manufacturer18) Perform other such tasks as needed and as requested.19) Works closely with Service administrator to ensure that parts warranty submissions are processed correctlyOtherAssists the Company in any necessary duties to achieve company goals. Performs other related duties as assigned.Works under limited supervision. Work is performed somewhat on own responsibility after assignment, with some choice of method. Occasionally develops own method.This position involves regular work with confidential information of major importance, which if disclosed may be detrimental to the companys interests.
