Job Description

This person will engineer professional audio-visual systems including but not limited to the key responsibilities below.The Solution Architect role encompasses the full life cycle of a sale from presales to designing a solution and presenting this solution to the client and ensuring the solution is carried out as per the initial design.

  1. Pre-sales: assist with qualifying new leads through communication with the customer, detailing project scope, bills of material, and proposal documentation for more complicated design-build projects.
  2. Communicating directly with clients to fully understand and develop a solution based on client?s needs.
  3. Present designed solution to client through professional sales presentations.
  4. Evaluation of client drawings (Auto Cad) toassess architectural layout, electrical and power to design in AV endpoints.
  5. Field surveys for needs assessment pertaining to environmental, structural, power and data requirements.
  6. Communicating Infrastructure and architectural requirements to project team and contractors.
  7. Development of AV Architectural Drawings, System Flows, Cable/Conduit Risers, Product Detail pages
  8. During the project lifetime, oversee the preparation of the necessary design drawings, documents, and coordination documentation for installations.
  9. Develop custom product solutions and new packaged solutions for the company to sell.
  10. Act as a technical resource for associate engineers, technicians and drafting staff.
  11. Develop knowledge and personal abilities/skills to maintain/improve depth and currency with this field of work.
  12. Design and develop Audio-Visual Systems that include:
  13. AV Networking + Topology
  14. Video Conferencing Systems
  15. LCD Displays/ LED Displays & Systems
  16. Digital Signage Systems
  17. Complex Audio-Visual Systems
  18. Speakers/Audio DSPs
  19. Matrix mixers/switchers/Soft-Codec Systems
  20. Video conferencing codecs/Custom control systems/Projectors
  21. Software Proficiency ? MS Office applications especially Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD required.
