Sociology TeacherJob Location : Dubai, UAEKey Responsibilities :•Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with the curriculum framework.•Deliver effective and engaging sociology instruction to students, promoting active participation and critical thinking.•Assess student learning through a variety of methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.•Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.•Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.•Contribute to the overall positive and supportive school environment.•Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.•Potentially contribute to extracurricular activities or clubs related to sociology or social sciences.•Assist in the role of a Discipline Officer, supporting the schools code of conduct and promoting positive student behavior.•Support the delivery of MYP Math instruction as needed.•Potentially assist in the delivery of Home Economics instruction as needed.Requirements :•Bachelors degree in Sociology or a related field.•Valid teaching certification or license.•Proven experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level.•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.•Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.•Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment practices.•Ability to adapt to a diverse student population.•Experience with the MYP curriculum is an asset.•Experience or willingness to support disciplinary procedures.•Willingness to support other subjects, like math and home economics, when needed.•Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
