Job Description

HMM , A Leading Shipping Liner, urgently looking for an experienced candidate as Shipping line Operations Manager for Dubai regional office. The candidate must be with minimum 12~15 years of experience in a liner shipping company in UAE or Others.We Invite the Applicants looking for growth meeting our below requirement.Job Responsibilities :-

  • To supervise and manage all operations related to Container Cargo Vessel and Handle a team.
  • Liaising with terminals and port authorities
  • Provide support and required procedures for vessel operation.
  • Experience in inventory control, maintenance & repairs and stock handling.
  • Monitor supply, demand, direct functions of container stock maintenance, equipment repositioning strategies.
  • Knowledge about documentation procedures and port operations in the region.
  • Monitor and make recovery planfor container Detention / Demurrage, unclaimed / overdue cargo.
  • Management of long idling cargo by following with terminal for auction and disposal.
  • Operational cost management by controlling the AP process with stringent invoice checking procedures.
  • Co-ordinate with regional terminals for any abnormalities and disputes in invoices and follow up for corrections / credit notes.
Requirements : -
  • Proven experience in shipping as an Assistant Manager or Manager.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures.
  • Experience in using various EDI?s with partners / vendors.
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Understanding of budgeting and reporting
  • Experience in guiding and evaluating subordinates
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Qualifications:-
  • A Bachelor?s or Master?s degree,
General Requirement:-
  • Must have UAE Driving License, Familiar with Local Sea Ports .
  • Good knowledge in Shipping Line Operations
  • The Problem Solver, Managing Operations Teams, Keeping proper records
