Throughout the process industries, our flagship measurement brand Rosemount devices are specified more often than any other brand of process instrumentation.Based in our Jebel Ali Free zone campus, but responsible for the Middle East & Africa and India region, we have a new vacancy for a Service Engineer in our highly successful Marine Service team (MTM), part of the wider Measurement & Analytical business. This Business Unit range includes Radar Tank Gauging System, Valve Remote Control System, Micromotion Coriolis Flow, Pressure and Temperature measurements for safe ship operation. Our portfolio enables our customers to take action before changes affect equipment performance and cause downtime.Overview Purpose of position:You will be a self-motivated service engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to solve customer's problems, providing service, repairs, overhauling and commissioning of our wide range solutions. You will take pride in your work, ensuring any assigned service job is completed to the customer's satisfaction first time, every time. You will have strong technical capabilities, the ability to work under pressure and a calm and positive attitude. You will be a collaborative team player, sharing lessons learned with the team, committed to continuous improvement, achieving and maintaining service excellence at all times.As after-sales service is crucial to ensuring customers are loyal to the Emerson brand, this front-line role is critical to growing our business. You will be part of our team located in Dubai, United Aram Emirates. You will report directly to the Manager of Technical Service.What will be my responsibilities in this role?? Ensuring you are fully prepared for the service call prior to attending the client site, including ensuring spares are available.? Perform onboard service and onsite commissioning within the region and worldwide.? Participate in the testing, calibration and verification of system setup of Emerson products and supplies of Marine systems.? Understanding the customer requirement fully in order to provide an efficient and optimum solution.? Ensuring service reports are completed and signed in all respects, prior to submission.? Provide comprehensive remote support to customers to ensure their continuing loyalty.? Setting up, installing, configuring and maintaining simulation/demo tools or systems in the workshop/office as required? Carrying out "On the Job Training" when possible for the rest of the team to share knowledge and experience.? Maintaining the condition and certification of tools.? Recognize and accept HSE Roles & Responsibilities as defined in Emerson's Company Policy and Procedures? Be prepared to travel up to 80% of your time across the Middle East & Africa and India region.What do I need to be considered for this role?To be considered for this role applicants should have:? Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering? Minimum 5 years of experience in reputed marine industry? Knowledge of all types of gauging systems such as Rosemount Marine, Damcos, LevelDATIC, Rosemount?
