Job Description

A large organization is currently looking for a Senior Technology Engineer who will play a key role in driving the engineering function within the company for the technologies he/she is responsible for. While managing the day to day operational activities, you will be accountable for the overall delivery activities such as Design, Development, Implementation, Standardization, Automation and Capacity Planning. You will be expected to have a T-shaped technical profile to be able to switch between multiple disciplines based on the project requirement where your core strength is coming from Vmware Virtualization Platform. Also, you will also be expected to automate the requirements of the platform in infrastructure as code way and take accountability of the end to end solution. Furthermore, you are expected to have discussions with Technical and Solution Architects to find optimal solution to a problem and implement it based on the infrastructure and project requirements. You are encouraged not only use but also contribute into open source technologies wherever it is applicable while maintaining interoperability and functionality of the infrastructure. You will be expected to do deep dive into various technologies and explore the capabilities to leverage.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Equivalent
  • The VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization Design or Equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience at a relevant technical position in large organizations with hands on automation knowledge
  • Banking background is preferred
  • In-Depth knowledge and Strong Understanding in VMware Virtualization Technologies & Suite of products. (VCAP level - Design & Architecting Experience)
  • Excellent hands-on experience in configuration management, orchestration, automation and IaC tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
  • X86 Architecture, NUMA, Memory Performance, PCIe
  • Good understanding of Linux internals (Preferable RHEL / Ubuntu)
  • Strong understanding and knowledge on Virtualization Networking, L2/L3 Fundamentals and Overlay Networking - NSX, OVN
  • Strong understanding and knowledge on Virtualization Networking, L2/L3 Fundamentals and Overlay Networking - NSX, OVN
  • Comprehensive understanding in Linux, DevOps / SRE, IaC and 12 Factor Principles
  • Strong understanding of Open-Source Hypervisor and Container Orchestration Technologies (KVM, Kubernetes, Kubevirt)
  • Hands on experience on Physical x86 servers (Must HPE and Lenovo), Infrastructure Management Tools (HPE OneView and Lenovo Xclarity), Chassis and hardware components
  • Strong understanding of OS Compliance Policies (CIS Benchmark)
  • Agile methodologies and its ceremonies
