Ensure optimal care is being provided to inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department patients.
Investigate, diagnose and treat medically or surgically ill patients referred to his/her specialty according to his/her privileges and in collaboration and mentorship of the SSR and the consultant.
Participate in teaching activities in the Department and provides regular seminars or presentations.
Involve and participate in research, quality-related activities, and other clinical/administrative meetings when deemed necessary by the head of the department and the hospital administration.
Partake in departmental and hospital-wide performance monitoring & Improvement activities.
Assist in promoting health education through providing education and support for junior staff and involvement in continuous medical education (CME).
Attain the best practices in his/her field and constantly seeks to update his/her medical knowledge and skills.
Undertake some managerial responsibilities such as workload planning and staffing of the department.
Maintain the highest professional standards of conduct in line with organizations policies and procedures and internationally accepted standards.
Represent the Department in committees and taskforces, if assigned.
Performs other ad-hoc applicable tasks and duties.
