Senior Procurement Specialist

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to plan, execute and manage end-to-end complex sourcing activities across various supplier spend categories (Marketing, Facility Management and Operations, IT, HR, Legal etc.), and across all Majid AL Futtaim Properties BUs (SMBU, HOBU, COBU, incl. Head Office), involving cross functional team members from multiple Business Units and Functions in a specific country or spend category. An end-to-to end sourcing activity comprises of (beside other tasks) finalizing demand requirements, setting the tender strategy, issuing the tender to bidders, receiving the bidder responses, analyzing and evaluation the proposals, conducting supplier negotiations, obtaining relevant approvals, and setting up and entering the resulting supplier contract. A sourcing activity can be a formal tender, RFP, RFQ, RFI/EOI, single source proposal, direct negotiation, and/or e-auction. The holder of the role will interact with all levels of senior directors across the BUs and Functions, Senior Executives of the supplier organizations, as well as the HOFs. He/she might also lead a country specific procurement department, its sourcing operations, and its key client and stakeholder relationships. The role holder might lead and manage 1 direct report regarding day-to-day duties, from a functional and disciplinary perspective. The role can also support a Category Lead in a specific supplier spend category.Role Details ? Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Identifying, gathering, analyzing and summarizing purchase requirements and demand, preparation of sourcing strategies and complex sourcing processes.
• Planning, initiating and managing the related complex end-to-end sourcing process (RFx) incl. contract award and execution.
• Complex supplier negotiations leading to the achievement of set goals and objectives, e.g. best value for money, lowest risk etc.
• Setting up, developing and finalizing complex supply contracts.
• Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking exercises, identifying market trends and monitoring related developments.
• Working closely with the Procurement Category Leads on fulfilling the individual Category Plans
• Working closely with internal end-users, requestors, contributors, subject matter experts, unit and functional leads as well as senior clients & stakeholders.
• Initiating and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, clients & stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and value adding partner.
• Interacting with all levels of employees across the organization incl. top level management (senior directors, HOFs etc.).
• Constantly monitoring, utilizing and improving the entire supply chain process from supplier pre-qualification to contracting and order placement, incl. the correct and maximum utilization of E-Procurement tools (Oracle EBS, SAP/Ariba E-Sourcing, E-Auction etc.).
• Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, applying industry standards and market best practices.
• Identifying areas of opportunity or risk, finding and utilizing synergy effects, leveraging and harnessing the companies profile and scale, turning it into maximum benefits and added value.
• Supporting the promotion of the Procurement organization within the company and the acquisition of new areas of Procurement influence.
• Keeping Procurement databases up to date at all times.
• Regular reporting of sourcing/negotiation strategies and outcome, sourcing recommendation and benefits.
• Obtaining required approvals as per the companies DOAs, archiving all compliance data and documents, maintaining a perfect auditable trail.
• The role will focus on country requirements, but might assist other countries should the demand arise.
• The role supports country specific requirements across all supplier spend categories and Majid AL Futtaim Properties BUs incl. Head Office.
• Requirements to be sourced might comprise of indirect and direct spend components (opex and capex).
