Department DefinitionThe Director General s Office supports the mandate of the Director General, fulfilling all Office portfolios as well as supporting departments that report directly to the Director General.Opportunity ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Manager, Planning will design and deliver the operational plan for the Commissioner General s Office, working closely as the organisation s Head with the Integrated Operations Office, as the planning Body at Expo.The IOO is driving the organisation through the planning and readiness phases to event time, by integrating all department delivery plans, developing the programme schedule, creating readiness exercises and testing environments, and establishing a robust structure of governance, command & control for event time.The main responsibilities of the role will include:- Design, structure and deliver the Commissioner General s Office planning, from pre-event time to decommissioning phase, taking milestone and project task data to create sets of tasks and planning priorities for the Office;- Lead the project to develop event time Contingency Plans;- Act as liaison for the Commissioner General s Office for relevant departments to help integrate their milestones, risks, issues, services, policies and priorities;- Support the Chief of Staff in updating programme plans, reports, risks, issues and procurement;- Support other Integrated Operational Planning team members on their projects (Scope of Services, Policies & Procedures, Department/FA Operating Plans and Service Levels) as required;- Work with the Portfolio Management Office to ensure processes are consistent with the integration of the external stakeholders;- Ensure alignment with Readiness, Resilience and Response plans.
