Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Train the SCM Logistics & Trade Compliance, Procurement and Subcontracts
  • Building relationships with all Government Authorities
  • Monitor, negotiate, resolve and record all fines and penalties and report same immediately to the MEA SCM LTC Manager
  • Relationships with Service Providers (Freight Forwarder, Customs Brokers, Trucking)
  • Carrier relationships (Air and Ocean)
  • MENA Duty exemptions
  • Dangerous Goods permits
  • SASO permits
  • Temporary Import duty refunds
  • Monitoring and evaluate all Customs Brokers
  • Logistics Audit and Compliance
  • Out of Gauge and Critical packages project movements
  • SCM LTC process mapping
  • Review and update all existing SCM LTC procedures
  • Operate in accordance with all McDermott company guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage the Project LTC staff and logistics operation of the project
  • Define the logistics strategy for the project execution in coordination with the Supply Chain Lead.
  • Oversee and coordinate all cargo movements in line with project requirement and in compliance with MDR standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the operation are in line with the company policies in term of Trade Compliance
  • Coordinate and manage cargo transportation activities for the project vessels and project cargo.
  • Review of project load lists and cargo classes to ensure Project compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with internal/external stakeholders
  • Regular reporting requirements
  • Bid solicitation, award and execution of logistics transactions.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Min 10 to 15 Years in Logistics and Transport Activities
  • Relevant Logistics & International Trade Supply Chain Management certification desirable although not mandatory.
  • Strong command of English, both oral and written. Arabic will be advantage
  • Good Knowledge of International Import and Export Controls
  • Min 5 years? experience as Project Logistics Manager for large Offshore Projects.
  • Strong knowledge in the International Freight and formalities requirements.
  • Experience in leading logistics team for the same scale of EPCI project is essential
