Main responsibilities of the role include:- Delivery of all lighting for Al Wasl Plaza Venue as directed by Technical Director;?- Development of lighting equipment and fixtures RFP`s to the market and supplier cost checking;?- Management of the Lighting teams including contractors and consultants. This will include but will not be limited to the following: through the production build and commissioning to technical rehearsals, cast rehearsals, the show, transitions and the final load out;?- Manage, coordinate and develop the technical requirements with regards to production lighting, scenic electrics, lighting rigging, structures required to support lighting fixtures, lighting control systems, data networks and lighting cabling;?- Development and management of all aspects of Lighting schedules;- Management and assembly of technical documentation and drawings for the installation and operation of Lighting requirements for the Al Wasl Plaza;- Liaising with the relevant Designers, Technical Director and Technical Managers of on-going design and technical issues in regard to the Lighting items required for the Al Wasl Plaza;?- Ensuring that all Al Wasl Plaza Lighting requirements are provided in accordance with the approved designs, are fit for purpose;?- Implementing and managing the process for the effective coordination and communication between Lighting Contractors and the Al Wasl Plaza departments;?- Management of all staff and contractors to ensure that all work undertaken at the Al Wasl Plaza or at associated facilities, in regard to the Lighting requirements, is undertaken in a safe and professional manner;?- Assist and contribute to budgeting, cost checking and scheduling related to the activities of the staging department;?- Responsible for reviewing, managing and monitoring visiting productions working collaboratively with the in?house technical and operations team;?- Assisting in the creation and adherence of any risk management strategies in relation to the delivery of all Al Wasl Plaza Lighting responsibilities;?- To assist in ensuring that all staff and contractors engaged for the provision of the Al Wasl Plaza programs are fully aware of the H &S requirements abide by Expo 2020 policies and procedures;?- Proactively support, and ensure that the principle contractors and subcontractors support sustainability, that is in line with Expo 2020.
