The Senior Manager, Broadcast Technology will be a technology professional with an excellent international reputation for delivering complex Broadcast Operations at the highest level and who will optimise the Expo 2020 experience for the accredited media.?Reporting to the Head of Broadcast Operations, the Senior Manager Broadcast Technology will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of a comprehensive broadcast programme to ensure the messages and themes of Expo 2020 Dubai are covered throughout the world.?This position will be part of the key management team responsible for delivering all aspects of the Media Operations for Expo 2020 (broadly split into Broadcast Operations and Press Operations).The main responsibilities of this role will include:?- Oversee multiple technology initiatives focused on deploying the Expo 2020 Host Broadcaster operation and take a leadership role in accomplishing those tasks;- Ensure delivery of the overall architecture of the broadcast plant, from the power requirements to all the technology required to construct studio and transmission systems;- Oversee all engineering aspects of the deployment, from design, procurement, build, integration and documentation. This will include interaction between the Host Broadcaster and Expo and all other resources required to complete the job;- Act as Expo 2020?s primary liaison with the Host Broadcaster and Broadcasters for defining the technical requirements for broadcast infrastructure & develop the specifications required for procurement or supplier to deliver these requirements;- Oversee the implementation of all Host Broadcast/video systems including cameras, switchers, routers, audio/video processing equipment, consoles and intercom systems as well as knowledge and experience of broadcast-based IT technologies and workflows such as data routers, switches, servers and security protocols;- Manage the facilitation needs of all broadcast media on-site to make sure their technology requirements are met;- Jointly develop with the Broadcasters the technical requirements including but not limited to lighting, commentator positions, and camera platforms, technical facilities to ensure that all designs are pragmatic and cost effective for Broadcast Operations.
