Mandiant?s approach helps organizations develop more effective and efficient cyber security programs and instills?confidence in their readiness to defend against and respond to cyber threats.As a member of the Education team, you will be responsible for aspects of both internal and external education, specifically in cyber security areas such as digital forensics and incident response.As a malware analysis instructor, you will teach courses virtually and on-site to Mandiant employees and customers worldwide (travel will be about 50% of the role).What you will do:

  • Deliver classroom training to a variety of technical audiences
  • Provide support for cyber security course development efforts, including product research, providing subject matter expertise, and training content review
  • Create, update, and maintain slide decks and lab exercises for customer-facing training
  • Assist with updates for course descriptions, syllabi, and other collateral pertaining to external education.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Ability to analyze disassembly of x86 and x64 binaries
  • Knowledgeable in the use of:
    • IDA Pro disassembler
    • Instruction-level debuggers
    • Common binary file formats
    • Dynamic analysis tools
    • Network analysis tools
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in RE or equivalent
  • Ability to reverse engineer binaries of various types, including:
    • C/C++
    • Delphi
    • .NET
  • Experience developing scripts to decode obfuscated data and network communications
  • Thorough understanding of network protocols
  • Experience mitigating anti-reverse engineering techniques
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%, including internationally, to support a global customer base (post-covid)

  • Ability to quickly grasp highly technical concepts and clearly communicate these technical concepts in live presentations
  • Classroom teaching experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze shellcode
  • Ability to analyze packed and obfuscated code/scripts
  • Capable of Python scripting to automate analysis tasks
  • Capable of identifying host- and network-based indicators
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experiencedesired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization and follow-up skills
  • Experience presenting findings to various levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly grasp highly technical concepts and clearly communicate these technical concepts in live presentations
  • Ability to coach students and assess their technical capabilities, processes, and procedures as they investigate simulated attack scenarios
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within all levels of an organization
  • Able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving and demanding environment
