Their main 4 business units are interior design, turnkey fit out contracting, services and world-class office furniture, lighting, flooring and fixtures. descriptionAs Senior Interior Designer you will create and lead design concepts through creative thought processes focused on user experience, materiality, and sustainable approaches, representing the company?s standard design quality. Meanwhile supporting the team as required in the development of design solutions as required. Other responsibilities are:
  • Organize client meetings, note down design brief and ensure design brief is thoroughly explained to the designer for transcribing into a design proposal;
  • Present design solutions to the client;
  • Undertake designs and the production and review of design documentation including 3D views, drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications;
  • Review all design documentation for completeness, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and adherence to budget goals;
  • Red flag any current or potential design crisis as early as possible, so priorities can be rearranged to mitigate the impact;
  • Serve as a reviewer and a technical auditor to ensure technical assurance. Undertake self-checking and assist with technical checks of work undertaken by the team;
  • Provide quality control for compliance with company/project standards of deliverables;
  • Lead the selection of FF&E and production of interior specifications;
  • Contribute to and manage the preparation of mood boards, material & finish selections and presentation material;
  • Maintain constant professional communications with clients, project team, and consultants;
  • Have a project-focused view, across multiple projects;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry-wide furniture & design suppliers, able to lead procurement and client selection discussions;
  • Have responsibilities for managing teams with specific roles, areas or packages within projects;
  • Work within an agreed scope and deliver complete packages of work to the deadline;
  • Develop design work in close coordination with other members of the team;
  • Implement designs, contracts and strategic decisions;
  • Lead the delivery of projects at different stages;
  • Manage all aspects associated with projects including proposals, exhibits, contracts, project budget, and profitability.
