Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be part of the Finance Department within our office located in Dubai Design District. You will conduct and support the accounting activities as well as Finance process transformation at CHANEL.General Ledger activities, monthly, quarterly, and annual closings will be your main responsibilities. You will contribute to travel & expenses analysis, control and reconciliation as well as the improvement of accounting process.

  • Performing month-end closing activities: inventory, payroll, gratuity, IFRS16, asset depreciations, prepaid entries, reclass activities and intercompany reconciliations
  • Performing monthly accounting reviews on expensesand travel with Concur tool
  • Preparing monthly financial analysis and account reconciliations
  • Working closely with Financial Controllers, AP and AR accountants
  • Preparing tax declaration and filing
  • Preparing mid-year and annual ESR reports
  • Controlling and reconciling yearly Financial Statements as well as supporting external audits
  • Administering Bank documents
  • Managing Suppliers data base
  • Assisting Departments in accounting issues and queries
  • Contributing to various accounting analyses between Balance Sheet and P&L
PROFILYou are graduated from an accounting degree or from a Master degree (major in Accounting and/or Finance) and you have a significative General Ledger accounting experience (minimum 5 years).You have a good knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and reporting standards.You have an advance level in Excel and all-round analytical skills.Knowledge of SAP will be a real advantage. English is a must and French would be a plus.You are an enthusiastic multitask person, who can efficiently work under pressure.Your strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills will be a real asset to succeed in this mission.Position based in Dubai
