Senior Frontend EngineerDubai / Engineering ? Software Engineering / Full Time Hybrid Lean is looking for a Frontend engineer to join our team at a vital time - having just announced our Series A funding we want to capitalise on the momentum to deliver a whole host of exciting new features. As such this role will suit someone who can get stuck in, bringing their experience and expertise to the team to help launch us into 2022.About the roleThe ideal candidate has a strong background in React/Redux/JavaScript, but also understands that customer experience is paramount. This means you?re passionate about UX, design, performance, analytics and security too. Our products are seamless and highly designed, if you have an interest in coding up beautiful user interfaces this role will suit you well.We value individual expertise and competence but we work as a team. Professionalism and empathy are required for us to work well in a pressured and driven environment. We communicate our goals and progress, get to know our colleagues in social settings and help and mentor each other.2022 will be a busy year for us. The ideal candidate for this role will be a domain expert and will be able to hit the ground running, turning their hand to a range of products and features. Innovation is encouraged, but you should be able to draw on your experience to deliver quality work with surprising efficiency, knowing when to use tried-and-tested solutions over the newest concepts.Who we areWith the Lean API, fintechs can seamlessly connect to their customers bank accounts to initiate payments and retrieve account information, such as balance and transaction history ? all while providing the customer with absolute control over their data and money. Lean is at the forefront of the Open Banking initiative within the Middle East.We aim to create a supportive and collaborative ecosystem of fintechs to support the growth of the industry within the region and ultimately give end-users useful products and seamless experiences.Responsibilities+ Work with product, design and backend engineering teams to assist with project specification, collaboratively devise creative technical solutions to product briefs and provide constructive feedback to design concepts.+ Build amazing products which will wow our customers, knowing that perfect is the enemy of done, using best practices which are at your fingertips, coding with a view to the long term: changes often can and will happen.+ Take pride in your work: not only does it do the job, it looks great, it?s a joy to read, it?s tested and performant. Your work will be reviewed, demoed, and you?ll come back to it again to improve it.+ Bring fresh ideas to the team and help others. Share, pair, teach, review, collaborate and meet up. Offer your assistance where you can, help unblock colleagues and get projects over the line together.Requirements+ A track record of building extensible Javascript applications.+ Proficiency with a selection of modern frameworks such as , or Gatsby, and the surrounding technologies (Webpack, ES6, Babel, NPM, Node)+ Excellent understanding of working with REST APIs.+ Strong ability in CSS, CSS-in-JS+ An eye for detail and interest in design, UX and accessibility.+ Ability to code UIs to a very high calibre, responsively and with good cross browser compatibility.+ Experience with design applications such as Sketch or Figma.+ Experience with building design systems, and shared React components.+ Keen to work in cross-functional squads with the engineers, product and other teams to iteratively deliver sector-leading digital products.+ Experience with common front end features such as, authentication, authorization, multi-tenancy, A/B testing, search, theming.+ Ability to effectively trade-off quality and execution speed.+ Experience reviewing and pairing on code.+ Good understanding of development best practices such as pair programming, TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery.+ Good understanding of CI tools (Git, Jenkins) and testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Playwright).+ Experience with mocking and stubbing (JSON server, Express, )+ Experience with optimising web applications in areas such as performance, security and resilience.+ Ability and enthusiasm to push for new improvements across code bases.+ A love for the JS ecosystem with a finger on the pulse of the latest developments.NB.
