Job PurposeJOB PURPOSETo lead on the operational planning and delivery and the commercial success of the multi-sport Emirates Dubai 7s Invitational Tournament.To lead world class operational and logistical planning and delivery of the Dubai Leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series for all teams, match and Tournament officials .To play an integral part in the successful delivery of a number of sporting and non-sporting events held at The Sevens Stadium each year.JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS- Authoring a series of sports Tournament Rules, manuals and handbooks for teams, Liaison Officers and Volunteers.- Oversee the Invitation Tournament Teams registrations process and ongoing customer journey to the highest standards in order to maximize teams participation and their overall event experience.- Management of third party suppliers contracted to deliver support services including Accreditation, Ticketing, Match Scheduling, Catering, and Medical Services.- Management of the Fixed Term contracted Emirates Dubai 7s Invitational Sport Managers responsible for delivering Rugby, Cricket, Netball and Fitness Tournaments.- Responsible for sourcing and management of Fixed Term Sport Operations staff including, Registration and Accreditation Managers, Sport Operations Co-ordinators, and Logistics Co-ordinators.- Lead on the delivery of World Class operational and logistical planning for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series international Rugby 7s teams, requiring efficient interaction with other Emirates Group companies on the arrangements for International Flights, Visas, Transfers, Ground Transport, Accommodation, High Performance Nutrition, Training Facilities, and Laundry services.- Oversee all Sport Operations related invoicing and related procedures for Emirates Dubai 7s finances and manage the tracking of payments from and for tournament suppliers. Manage the reconciliation of Sport Operations related finances as they relate to World Series teams, World Rugby and associated suppliers of support services including airlines, hotels, laundry and transport providers.- Delivery of detailed post event reports focused on capturing areas and methods of improvement and associated action plans for future events.Qualifications & ExperienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSQualifications:12 Years schooling or equivalentExperience:Hospitality/ Other: 5+ YearsKnowledge/Skills:- Essential - Experience in working in Event Management (ideally international sports)- Essential - Previous experience of managing multi passenger / group international flight bookings and associated travel requirements.- Highly proficient in the creation, management and maintaining of MS Excel templates and significant amounts of logistical documentation and production of regular reports.- Ability to oversee a number of projects at varying stages of progress, ensuring programme management software and reporting is accurate.- Strong Finance Skills and ability to reconcile accounts.
