The work in our database team is mainly driven by the company?s product roadmap and our day-to-day operations. The result is a healthy mix of research, project work and operational tasks. Responsibilities include: Work with engineering team to design an optimised data schema to ensure performance, scalability, data consistency and reliability Use and develop database automation tools to automate existing manual tasksRequirements* Expertise in all things PostgreSQL with a particular focus on performance tuning, security, scalability, reliability, high-availability, disaster recovery, schema design, data modelling and partitioning; * Programming experience in PL/pgSQL is a must; * Scripting / Programming skills (in any language) are preferred; * Experience working in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) * Experience working with high-volume transactional databases systems * Understanding of all the system layers including network configurations, resource allocation and application in generalSkills that are good to have* Experience with orchestration and configuration automation * Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server * Good understanding of the Linux Kernel * Intelligence, common sense, effective communication, good humour and resourcefulnessBenefits* A competitive, market-based salary, performance bonus, and health benefits * A chance to work in a fast-growing company with incredible career opportunities.
