As the Senior Counsel, you will be responsible for leading negotiations and drafting across all commercial transactions for the Group.Client DetailsA prominent retail group based out of the UAE and operating across the region.DescriptionProvide leadership and expertise in corporate-commercial law, managing your own projects as well as being a mentor to junior counsels.Effectively manage negotiations and drafting for commercial transactions across the Group (non-Arabic only).Execute large commercial transactions across the region, including M&As, JVs and partnerships.Investigate and analyse legal claims against the Group, assisting the GC and other Arabic-speaking lawyers, along with external counsel (if appropriate).Manage the corporate function, including new entity formation, corporate governance and compliance with internal bylaws.Be approachable and collaborative when working with other business functions to provide legal advice.Profile8+ years PQE, ideally qualified in a common law jurisdiction.Impeccable English drafting skills, demonstrable by previous body of work.Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.Experience in a large holding group or international organisation preferable, whether in the GCC or abroad.Job OfferCompetitive, tax-free salary and benefitsOpportunity to work in an influential role and contribute to the growth of the businessProgressive, exciting environment
