JOB SUMMARY:? Execute projects with quality and cost-effective engineering deliverables, according to company directives and instructions, within laws, rules and regulations.? Participate and adhere NOV team strategy as well as business objectives set by NOV.? Independent responsibility for the professional execution of the work assigned to the team.? Contribute to efficient execution in compliance with the Project schedule.? Responsible for the technical integrity of assigned Civil and Structural activities.? Responsible for quality defined in quality management system in general as well as according to governing rules, regulations, standards, specifications and or procedures.? Performance targets for the year to be established in Q1 every year as per instructions from NOV and managed through standard business processes and described in the performance tool.RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:HSEQThe Engineer shall on own initiative:? Take personal responsibility for HSE by focusing on own behavior.? Ensure that own work follows Company requirements for HSEQ.? Contribute to continuous improvement of quality and safety of our products and deliveries.Tasks and Responsibilities (not exhaustive)The Engineer shall on own initiative:? Pursue professional development within own discipline/area,? Report deviations, suggest improvements to the company QM system? Proactively work to continuously improve the company and its operations by Lesson Learned initiatives.? General technical assignments as requested by the project management? Training and experience transfer of other less experienced engineering personnel.? Misc. tasks related to procurement, documentation, reporting, etc.? Cost Analysis, Resource Deployment, Model ReviewReporting and CommunicationThe Engineer shall on own initiative:? Reporting in project to the lead Engineer, Engineering Manager and Project Manager.? Report any non-compliance with HSEQ requirements to the Team Manager.? Interact with the Civil & Structural Engineer regarding technical and project related challenges.Methods of Work? Ensure that relevant working methods are followed? Perform tasks in such a way as to reduce environment and health risks? Ensure tasks performed are to a high quality and suggest improvements wherever required? Participate in the evaluation of working methods and conditions thereby minimize the risk for workplace and environmental incidents and thereby minimize the risk for quality issues? Ensure processes are performed in compliance with internal and external requirements, defined and documented, continually measured, evaluated, improved and secured.? Be proactive & manage schedules and complete tasks within deadlines.Subordinates, peers and leadership;? Actively participate in the appraisal process, ensuring objectives are entered into the system and are reviewed on time as required? Work closely with peers to reach the common and shared goals for NOVFACILITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:? Feasibility Evaluation, Structural Design and drawings,? Detail Engineering, Analysis and calculations,? Development of specifications and other engineering documentation,? Interface with subcontractors, suppliers, Vendor ManagementQualifications:QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:? Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering? Provide input in preparation of Engineering Master Scheduling for structural activities.? Preparation & review project design basis, Technical specifications and to ensure integrity in-line with project requirement. Performing critical calculations to support project team.? Evaluating Civil & Structural design progress & development? Responsible for carryout meeting with client and resolving client comments on various designs method query? Carrying out site inspection & providing related technical support for Project team? Preparation of Material Requisition of all Civil and Structural items? Evaluation of vendor offers, Raising TQs, Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation and Post order vendor documents review.EXPERIENCE:? Min 10 years relevant experience with Civil & Structural Engineering from Oil and Gas industry.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:? Communication, people management, analytical and coordination skills.? Engineer shall have good interface knowledge with other disciplines especially Process, Mechanical, Piping, electrical etc. and knowledge of all discipline documents and drawings is required.? Good Knowledge of International codes and standards AISC, British Standard, Australian Standard, API, ABS etc.? Should be able to understand the project requirements on fast track projects quickly and to meet the project schedule deadline.? Structural analysis & designs of various types of structures and well versed with STAAD Pro steel structure designs.? Deftness in swiftly ramping projects in coordination with clients, consultants & contractors.? Standardization of Design Procedures? Preparation of Check list and Design Guidelines
