Quest Search and Selection is working with a premier retail group currently looking for a Senior Buyer (Sportswear) to join their team in Dubai. We are ideally looking for someone with strong buying experience in the sportswear category, who will support the company is achieving the categorys strategic and financial objectives.As Senior Buyer, you will:- Formulate and determine buying plan and budget for the sportswear category- Work with the Category Manager and align with the overall buying and merchandising plan all categories- Keep abreast with the latest buying trends and identify new opportunities that the company can leverage on- Source, recommend, and negotiate with vendors- Monitor purchase orders and ensure that goods delivered are aligned with the agreed SLA- Monitor and track procurement of merchandise- Assist and support other departments/team members in events (e.g. launches, store promotions, etc.)- Conduct regular store visitsDesirable skills and background:- Bachelors Degree, with at least 5 years experience as a Senior Buyer in the Fashion and Apparel sector- Strong product knowledge, especially in the sportswear category- Strong interest in fashion and knows the latest market trends- Strong presentation, data analysis, project management skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Self-starter, well-organized, detail-oriented, can work independently and/or with a teamIf this sounds as something that would interest you, please do apply with your updated CV and contact details.We request that candidates send their CV as a Microsoft Word document where possible.Quest Search and Selection is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
