- manage month end closing process for the business by ensuring all entries have been passed by junior team members- monitor day-to-day accounting operations: AP, GL and Bank- review GL accounts, reconciliation o bank accounts- periodic book closing works including provisioning, accounting stock in transit, any other accruals including interest as applicable, preparation of schedules, etc.- give necessary support during quarterly reviews and yearly audit of accounts - exposure to fixed asset accounting and management including physical verification and tagging process- well verse in import/export documentation including L/C opening, checking related documents, coordinating with banks as required, clearance of documents from bank, etc.- gather all expenses related to each import consignment- keep track of customer bank guarantees and follow up for suitable action on expiry- handling insurance matters including insuring import consignments, providing information to insurance claims and follow up, submit monthly stock data to insurance, any other data as required by insurance companies- ERP work experienced
