Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with expertise in Value Added Tax (VAT) and corporate tax law in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UAE tax regulations and compliance requirements, and will be responsible for managing all aspects of VAT and corporate tax accounting and reporting. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate tax-related information to stakeholders.Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with VAT and corporate tax regulations in the UAE.
  2. Prepare and submit accurate and timely VAT and corporate tax returns to the tax authorities.
  3. Review tax transactions and ensure proper recording and classification.
  4. Perform tax reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure tax compliance in all business processes.
  6. Assist in the implementation of tax-related systems and processes.
  7. Provide support and guidance to junior accountants on tax matters.
  8. Conduct regular tax audits to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
  9. Prepare tax-related reports and analysis for management.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in tax regulations.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on VAT and corporate tax.
  4. Extensive knowledge of UAE tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  5. Experience in preparing and submitting VAT and corporate tax returns.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  10. Experience in the UAE or Middle East region is a plus.
