Job Description

Urgent requirement for a Senior Accountant to manage all the accounting activities of a Shipping and Logistics company.The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Entrepreneurial individual ready to take complete ownership of finance processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Collaborate with auditors, banks, and insurance companies.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT
  • Payroll preparation and ensure the payment through WPS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with JUPITER accounting software preferred.
  • Experience working in a shipping and logistics company.
  • General understanding of IFRSs
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
Requirements
  • Able to join immediately
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience in the UAE
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
