About the RoleAs a Technical Consultant, Solution Expert SAP Basis, this position is responsible/accountable for managing/administering the overall SAP Environment of entire AF Group across different geographic locations. Primary Job Responsibilities includes SAP Administration including SAP database, SAP Landscape Transformation, Delivery Fulfilment, SAP Simplification, Knowledge Management, Adoption of efficient delivery models for the solution, SAP rollouts, Landscape sizing, Performance optimization, Data Volume Optimization, Ensuring SAP Best Practises across the Landscape, Interface administration and End to End system support of all SAP Solutions.?About the ResponsibilitiesSupport and Maintenance of the systems in the SAP Landscape

• The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage the SAP systems in the entire SAP Landscape from the systems administration perspective including:
• Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the area of SAP Basis
• Adhere to AFG standards, procedures, controls.
• Analyse technical issues that are impacting business; diagnose application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures
• Evaluate Monitoring reports and come up with an action plan to address the gaps on an ongoing basis.
• Perform Client Copies / System Refreshes to support QA/ Preproduction testing.
• Support current SAP DR Strategy and Backup-Recovery / Configuration / upgrade / monitoring of SAP HANA, DB2 and SQL databases in AFG SAP environment.
• Work with developers, UNIX and functional representatives to solve Basis level issues.
• Maintain daily contact with the SAP Basis Team Manager regarding work progress
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate
• Ensure Technical Change Controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate
• Ensure all the Incidents and Service requests are addressed within the SLA.
• Develop/Maintain the SAP Landscape/Architecture document for all projects and technical changes that are being implemented.
• Continuously monitor the SAP landscape using the Monitoring platform and continuously improve it to identify and rectify the issues proactively.
• Ensure that AFG?s upgrade policy is been followed for all software components of the SAP Systems are at the right level/versions

??Design and Evolution of SAP Administration Solutions

• The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage all aspect of the business requirements including:
• Generate innovative approaches and solutions to complex problems
• Work with Senior management team on the recommendations on SAP Architectural Design
• Recommendations on implementing the right standards and controls for SAP Technical Design
• Able to evaluate new functionality/tools; recommending and implementing them
• Ensure the SAP monitoring infrastructure is configured for all critical components which can impact the business.
• Define and document technical system requirements and systems management procedures. Involve with problem escalation and resolution, working with SAP and other software/hardware vendors to resolve problems.

????Delivery of Project solutions/Request for change

• Collaborate and work with project teams
• Responsible for implementation the design and maintenance of the SAP Systems
• Provide System Sizing recommendations wherever necessary
• Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfil end user requirements
• Operating in a programme context, including liaising with the SAP functional and development teams and working with people and organisations from different regions/cultures

????Continuous Improvement

• Work with other functional teams within IT and the Business to identify opportunities for implementation of solutions that can bring value to the SAP Technical Operations
• Maintain and enhance SAP Administration skills and knowledge.
• Identify and recommend new technologies to management, as well as detail potential applications and implications for the business
• Execute, champion, and comply with overall Enterprise Architecture processes, standards, templates and components to ensure alignment between infrastructure, SAP Technical initiatives and business architectures.
• Complete quality documentation for the SAP environments.
• Assess impact of new SAP releases to current system landscape environments, design solution and assist production support teams in deploying the solution.
• Analyse system performance, system health checks and implement tuning improvements.
• Work with SAP Support vendor to investigate and resolve software problems related to the application in a timely manner. Research, recommend, and apply new technologies.
