Job Description

SAP Architect Role- Partners with and provides architectural leadership for SAP Solutions to deliver thoughtful IT solutions to the business. Works collaborately with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost effective designs.- Sets and influences SAP strategic direction. Demonstrates the ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and understands the long-term and short-term perspectives of an IT investment situation. Works closely with stakeholders from various lines of business to develop architecture blueprints and realistic roadmaps.- Should be able to collaborate with business leadership and manage mergers / de-mergers of business entities, make changes in the SAP architecture and in collaboration with infrastructure management teams.- Analyzes the current SAP architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as enhancing business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time & cost, and increasing overall effectiveness. Acts as an arbitrator, as needed, to bring the appropriate parties together to drive discussions to decisions in a timely manner.- Documents the SAP enterprise architecture design and analysis work. Owns and documents the overall SAP application architecture based on industry standard architectural frameworks. Develops a capability road map of the enterprise portfolio from current to future state.- Consults with application and infrastructure development projects to fit systems and infrastructure to the broader company architecture, and collaboratively partners with delivery teams to modify the solution architecture in order to accommodate a specific project need- Analyzes technology industry, market trends and impact of SaaS/Cloud and determines the potential impact on the enterprise. Maintains relationship with SAP ecosystem vendors and maintains vendor roadmaps. Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards.- Directs the governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance, particularly as relating to the SAP environmental infrastructure.Qualifications- Bachelor's in Engineering / Commerce / Computer Science / Information Systems / a related study, is required. - Strong experience in architecting SAP solutions: SAP, SAP ERP/ECC, SAP BO/BW, SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver with specific emphasis on FICO, IS Retail - Has been in an architecture leadership role in 2+ full lifecycle SAP implementations including post implementation experience. - At least fifteen years of experience in areas such as application design and development, application integration, middleware, database management or operations, information security, technical architecture, network management, mobility.- Proven ability to develop detailed solution designs. Understands architecture constructs and patterns, protocols such as SOAP, REST etc., development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).- Self-starter who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced business environment.- Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.- Experienced in worked with a Program Management Office (PMO)- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
