Job Description

Sales/BD Associate- Fire & Safety Dubai UAE                         - Sales/ BD AssociateJob TitleAssociate- Sales/ BDLocationDubai UAEIndustryFire and Safety Equipments Testing & CertificationJob ObjectiveAn ideal and preferred professional candidate who has worked in the manufacturing of fire doors, door hardware, glazing and fire rated windows, gypsum and gypsum board, cement board, blockwork, cladding manufacturing, insulation, fire sealants, ductwork and damper manufacturing, fire curtains, fire roller shutters, etc. or who has worked for another testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) bodies which test and certify fire safety materials, products and systems.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Have an understanding and knowledge of the various Resistance to Fire (FR) and Reaction to Fire (RTF) testing standards and norms recognized throughout the Middle East, North Africa and Subcontinent regions. These include UL, NFPA, ASTM, BS, EN, SASO and ISO standards.
  •  Must have an understanding of the UAE Fire & safety Code, Saudi Building Code, NFPA, IBC, and other regional jurisdictions building regulations.
  • Worked closely with the numerous authorities having jurisdictions (AHJs) across the greater Middle East, North Africa and the Subcontinent
  • Must have an existing Network Capital with established clientele for Testing & Certification of all types of Passive Fire Products
  • A Network Capital of potential clients for the testing and certification of smoke & heat detectors, fire pumps and fire-rated cables are advantageous also
  • Have a proven sales record working as part of a sales team delivering more than AED 1 million per month personally
  • Required to establish and maintain a network of architects, specifiers, contractors, installers, dealers and fire departments.
  • Be capable of providing seminars and workshops for guidance on various materials and product testing and certification in the field of fire protection
  • Take determined steps in order to detect projects, where company testing and certification services can be offered- Provide information on the possible added value of all company products and systems in the construction industry
  • Follow-up of contacts with architects with regard to projects and construction sites in progress
  • Provide the necessary advice to the manufacturers/contractors
  • Record Market Activity in the required format, soon to be CRM.
QualificationsBachelors Degree- Engineering/ Science preferredExperience
  • 6-10 years of Technical BD/ Sales experience in Middle East Region
  •  The candidates should also have had previous manufacturing experience either in operations, product development, technical compliance, or quality control.
