ABOUT SAINT LAURENT Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to introduce the concept of luxury prt--porter in a 1966 collection called Rive Gauche, synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift represented a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury goods division of the Kering Group acquired Yves Saint Laurent and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position the house at the summit of the luxury universe. Today, Saint Laurent collections include womens and mens ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and eyewear.JOB SUMMARY:Cross category support for Buying function in buying, trading, reporting and analyzing product and store performance in the Middle East region.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in seasonal buys with a focus on Business Unit (Jewelry, Sunglasses, Soft Accessories) and support Buying Team across all categories.
  • Support Buying team in pre-buying analysis, loading orders on the system and order confirmations check.
  • Support team in weekly and monthly reporting trade analysis with guidance of Buyers.
  • Create seasonal collection buying recaps and product trainings with guidance of Buyers.
  • Track results of sales and stock and recommend actions then update wider team on the same.
  • Conduct store visits with team with focus on BU categories.
  • Support with client requests and other needs from stores.
  • Work with HQ team on all Business Unit category including monthly performance calls, monthly sales forecasts, and ad hoc needs.
  • Support Buying Team with competitor analysis and market opportunities.
PROFILE:
  • Relevant degree in Merchandising or Business
  • Good command of the Office pack specially Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical mind and an interest in figures
  • High Level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and handle the pressure of a busy day
  • Experience in Retail industry
  • Fluent English, French and Arabic is an added bonus.
  • Affinity to all product categories
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of the ME market is an advantage
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel
