? Being the focal point within the Department for all relevant OH&S issue. ? Communicating OH&S matters advised to him from Management through the lines of communication within the department. ? Assist in the promotion of safe working practices within the department. ? Assist in the promotion of OH&S issues within the department. ? Assist in the co-ordination of the monthly video presentations in the department. ? Assist in the promotion of all Safety Alerts from the Health & Safety Department. ? Takes part in regular safety toolbox talks in the department and assists to ensure understanding of the topic by the workforce. ? Conducts regular routine inspections in Mobile plant work areas, intervene unsafe acts or unsafe conditions and coordinates with Mobile plant area supervisions to ensure safety rules are being observed and followed. ? In the event of a fire other emergency or drill, assume the role of emergency coordinator / fire warden until the company identified emergency controller arrives. ? Take part in accident investigations as required. ? Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management. ? Attend any training for any activity required by the department. ? Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas. ? Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work. ? Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed. ? Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head
