Qualification : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ITI in Fitters TradeExperience : 10 + years in refurbishment / overhaul of rotating equipment, out of which 3-5years shall be in Supervisory role.Competency:1. Good knowledge of complete refurbishment / overhaul of pumps (centrifugal,reciprocating, submersible type), gear boxes, compressors, turbines, blowers etc., usedin Oil & Gas, Marine and other industries.2. Clear understanding of refurbishment / reverse engineering of components of rotatingequipment.3. Ability to diagnose and report the status of components after strip down in workshop.4. Submit pre-inspection report, list of spare parts required and recommendations forrepair of components.5. Preparation of final inspection reports and work completion certificates.6. Ability to undertake fault diagnosis and take corrective measures of equipment duringoperational cycle or post overhaul commissioning, like high temperature, vibrations,inadequate performance etc.7. Competency in handling of all precision measuring tools.8. Knowledge about clearance / tolerance and fitment of components.Responsibility :1. Full responsibility for operations and administration of rotating equipment section (for a team of 12 technicians ).2. Planning of activities taking into account the running jobs and future orders,scheduled completion dates of jobs and margins for any unplanned urgent jobs.3. Actively participate in estimation of man hours, material and spares required,obtaining technical information from customer to ensure efficient work completion.4. Close supervision of all activities carried out by technicians with particular stress onthe critical, most difficult stages of disassembly, assembly, testing etc.5. Providing technical guidance and decisions for the overhaul. Issue technicalinstructions, work schedules, critical dimensional controls and acceptance criteria toteam.
